Man dies in shooting at Normandy Apartments in Jacksonville

Police said a Detroit woman shot a home invader as she and her daughter were leaving to go to church.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is dead after a shooting at Normandy Apartments on Saturday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

As officers responded to a call, the call was upgraded to a person shot. Officers found a man, 25-30 years old with multiple gunshot wounds lying next to the parking lot.

According to JSO, residents at the apartment complex were performing CPR. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
