CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A 60-year-old Green Cove Springs man is dead after he was hit crossing the street Thursday night. It happened at about 9 p.m. at U.S. Highway 17 and Little Ruth Road.
A car, driven by an 18-year-old Green Cove Springs man, was traveling northbound on Hwy 17 when the pedestrian was crossing the northbound lanes of 17 from Little Ruth Road, a Florida Highway Patrol news release states.
The front of the teen’s car hit the man who was pronounced dead at the scene, the news release states.
