Man injured in shooting in LaVilla

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is fighting for his life in the hospital Saturday morning after a shooting in Jacksonville’s LaVilla’s neighborhood Friday evening. Jacksonville police were called to the 800 block of West Forsyth Street at about 6 p.m.

Officers arrived and found the victim, a man in his 20’s, suffering from a gunshot wound, a police news release states. Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department took him to the hospital in life-threatening condition, the news release states.
