Man killed in apparent drive-by shooting in Grand Park

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating a deadly drive-by shooting Thursday in the Grand Park area.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident around midnight to the corner of West 25th and Henrietta streets.

Police said 22-year-old Jerry Brown was killed.

Browns aunt said she heard gunshots and came outside to find her nephew shot in a car inn her driveway.

"I went out and he was gone just like that just that quick. He was gone," said Patricia Green, Brown's aunt. "I'll say one thing about it, he had a smile on his face. He had a beautiful smile on his face."

Police don’t believe there was any motive and there is no suspect information.

Now police are looking for more clues as the family tries to find peace. Green also hopes the family of whoever did this finds peace too.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and receive a possible reward of up to $3,000.
