Man killed, one critical condition after fatal crash on US-301 in Bradford County

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — A fatal vehicle collision occurred on US-301 in Bradford County, Florida on Wednesday night, leaving one person dead and another in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP reported that at around 7:58 p.m., a vehicle containing two passengers, aged 70 and 39, was driving northbound on US-301.

For unknown reasons, the driver failed to make a proper left-hand turn, causing the vehicle to travel into oncoming traffic on US-301 northbound.

As a result, the vehicle collided with the front of a pickup truck, with both vehicles coming to a rest on the east grass shoulder of US-301. FHP reported that the collision caused the vehicle’s right side to be impacted.

The 39-year-old passenger was killed in the crash, while the 70-year-old passenger is in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck sustained only minor injuries, according to FHP.
