JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in a drive-by shooting on the 1400 block of W. 5th Street on Tuesday at 10:13 p.m. He has life-threatening injuries, police say.
An investigation has revealed that the man and a woman were standing outside on W. 5th Street when a white Ford Taurus drove by them and fired several rounds in their direction. The car then drove away in an unknown direction.
The case will be investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Aggravated Battery Unit. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to contact JSO at 630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
The man was transported to a hospital and the female transported herself to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
