Jacksonville, Fl — February ended in Jacksonville with multiple records including 17 days at/above 80 degrees, as well as the all-time daily record high, low temperature which was set on Tuesday.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says it will be another very warm afternoon with temperatures climbing to the upper 80s. Today’s record is 88 set in 2017.
Today and Thursday will be breezy and still dry. Thursday’s high temperature will be back in the upper 80s again.
Friday will be hot and very windy. Buresh says wind gusts could be 30 - 40 mph at times, which will only enhance our fire danger.

Another cold front arrives early Saturday. A few showers and possibly a thunderstorm will come with this one. Buresh says that, right now, a threat for a few showers may be around in the morning during the Gate River Run.
Temperatures will be much cooler than the recent stretch of days. Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 70s and Sunday in the mid-70s, which is still above average but will feel much more seasonal.
Sunday looks to be the ‘pick day’ of the weekend with mostly sunny skies and lower humidity.
