Michael Dunn's attorney files appeal, says murder convictions should be thrown out

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The attorney for convicted murderer Michael Dunn says he's filed an appeal.

In the appeal, Dunn's attorney says the murder convictions should be thrown out based on several legal arguments.

Michael Dunn was convicted late last year and sentenced to life in prison for shooting 17-year-old Jordan Davis.

The shooting happened at a Southside gas station in 2012 during an argument over loud music.
