Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood is one of the fastest growing ZIP codes for millennials in the United States.

That’s according to a new study by Rent Café.

Riverside is ranked sixth, based on growth percentage over a five-year period. It’s right there with neighborhoods in Manhattan and Los Angeles.

Sally Suslak, of Traditions Realty, tells me millennials can rent in Riverside for a fraction of what they would pay to own.

“I definitely believe it, you see it,” said Derrell Jackson, who lives in Riverside. “You come out here on Saturdays, this whole field is full of soccer players in their 20s and 30s.”

She says other draws include urban parks and the neighborhood’s walkability.

“You’ll find many people walking,” said Suslak. “They ride their bikes, they walk their dogs.”
