Miller Electric donates $1M to help support United Way

Jacksonville, FL. — Action News Jax Courtney Cole spoke to the United Way and a local community organization about how this donation will help further their vision for project.

The President and CEO of United Way of Northeast Florida told Action News Jax the organization has spent the last 95-years connecting people, resources and ideas to address the community’s most urgent challenges.

They’ve also United Way has developed and funded programs and organizations that tackle poverty and, more recently, generational poverty.

But this summer, they realized they needed to do more.

Here are the three areas the investment will help the United Way of Northeast Florida, (and their partners), to focus on:

● Benchmarking and data analytics

● Education, awareness and civic engagement

● Building a network of informed and passionate champions
