Authorities have issued a missing child alert for an Alachua County 16-year-old who took an Uber to Daytona Beach on Saturday and hasn't been heard from since.
Officials said Christopher Carr was last seen on North Ocean Avenue in Daytona Beach on Saturday.
Alachua County Sheriff's Office said he took an Uber from Alachua to Daytona Beach at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Deputies said he stopped taking medication and has been depressed.
Officials said they do not know why he headed to Daytona Beach and they issued a missing person notice because of concerning statements he has made.
He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, light-colored t shirt and blue or dark-colored pants.
He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Officials are asking anyone with information about Carr's whereabouts to call 352-955-1818 or 911.
