ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A 16-year-old St. Augustine boy who was missing since Saturday was located Monday morning and is safe. As the St. Johns County Sheriff was conducting a news conference giving an update on the search, it was announced that the teen was found.
The sheriff said he was located by a resident who recognized him. The resident took the teen into their home and called authorities, the sheriff said.
The boy, who has autism and schizophrenia, was not taking his medication, the sheriff said.
