Family and friends are remembering a model and actress from Jacksonville who was murdered while sitting in her parked car in Atlanta on July 1.
Jokisha Brown is being remembered as a great mother not just by her17-year-old son she left behind, but to six younger siblings.
“She was more than just my sister, she was definitely a mom to me,” said her brother. “She took me in when I had nowhere to go, when I was homeless. She fed me when I was homeless. She gave me money, kept me fed. Made sure I graduated.”
Brown’s funeral comes as Atlanta police continue to investigate her murder.
She was shot and killed inside her car at an Atlanta strip mall.
Homicide investigators said they have not identified any suspects.
Brown worked as an actress and model but her siblings said she brought the most talent out of others.

“If it wasn’t for Kisha teaching me some of things I know, I wouldn’t know how to be the woman I am today or take care of myself,” her sister said at the funeral.
Friends and family from all over Jacksonville and Atlanta came to the funeral.
Friends said she started selling real estate to further support her son and the son of her murdered brother.
Marlon Brown was shot and killed while breaking up a fight outside a Jacksonville strip club in March.
“She was good at what she did,” said India Kelly, a former co-worker. “She just got a real estate license selling properties. She did it all, for her and her son.”
