Murder suspect surrenders in Clay County

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — A man wanted on a murder charge in Clay County turned himself in.

The Sheriff's Office had been looking for 29-year-old Jarrod Romani, one of three suspects in a burglary investigation in June.

He's been wanted in connection with the burglary and the death of one of the suspects, Jason Kent.

Romani, Kent, and Nathan Ross, a third suspect, had been accused of stealing chainsaws out of a pickup truck parked at a gas station in Green  Cove Springs.

The owners of the pickup told deputies they fought with and detained the burglary suspects.  Kent later died from his injuries.
