Thursday evening, hundreds of people met at West Nassau High School to honor Fort’s life.

They told stories of the happy fun-loving boy, who was a gifted athlete.

“He was a great football player, he was on varsity as a sophomore, was always happy about it, talking about it, and he earned it.” Fort’s friend and teammate Chaz Davis said.

Fort’s mother, Paige Hall, said: “When I looked at these kids and I seen how much love they have for my son, it just made me so proud, and it just made me feel like I was close to him.”

“It makes me feel good because he really brought everybody together. And it shows the impact he had on everybody, Davis said.
