JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax has learned new information about the shooting victim who collapsed inside a Southside Burger King and later died. Neighbors said this may not have been the first time he was targeted.

Neighbors say victim Luciano Brewer's last listed address was fire-bombed just a few months ago.

Action News Jax first reported on this story when someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the home back in May.

The home is still boarded up and smoke damage is still visible. Neighbors said four months later, the owner of the house was shot outside that Burger King.

Police say the Burger King near Hodges and Atlantic boulevards is where 38-year-old Brewer took some of his final breaths Tuesday night, leaving businesses and neighbors in this upscale community on edge.

"I have been here a little more than five years in the plaza; we have not seen any violence at all because it's a really nice neighborhood," said Michael Griffiths of Any Lab Test.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office sent a tweet Tuesday night saying Brewer walked into the Burger King, shot, before he eventually died.

On Wednesday, a public records search took us to Brewer's listed Westside address more than 30 miles from that Burger King.

We found the front gate chained and padlocked. A neighbor told us off camera the house was recently fire-bombed.

Action News Jax was at the home in May when that happened, after a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the house.

Everyone inside got out safe and most neighbors didn't want to talk to us then out of fear of being targeted.

Still, Eren Jackson spoke to us.

"We have to be on guard and more careful and maybe watch out for our neighbors," Jackson said at the time.

JSO hasn't said yet if the Molotov cocktail and Brewer's death are connected.

We did find Brewer's mugshot in JSO's system after four arrests in Duval County.

His past accusations include soliciting for prostitution, resisting a police officer and several drug charges from 2006 through last year.

JSO hasn't released any surveillance video from nearby businesses by the Burger King such as the Harbour Place Animal Clinic.

The person who runs the facility tells Action News Jax police told her not to release any video to the media. But she said on the video, shouting could be heard, then gun shots and then a car can be seen driving away.
