Neptune Beach PD: Sandcastles, good. Crater-size holes in the sand, bad.

Neptune Beach, Fla. — It’s a public service announcements from Neptune Beach Police Department.

Yesterday a beachgoer dug hole in the sand so large that city workers had to use a backhoe to fill it in.

Now, NBPD are reminding the public about Municipal Ordinance 7-27, prohibiting the digging of large holes on the beach.

Small digging or shoveling by children are apparently just fine.
