A new inlet near the St. Johns and Flagler County line formed during Hurricane Matthew has separated four homes from shore, the National Weather Service said.
The new inlet is just south of the Mantanzas Inlet near the Summer Haven community.
The southernmost inlet was cut by Hurricane Matthew, NWS Al Sandrik said.
A new inlet was formed between four houses and the mainland.
The channel is not expected to close because of a strong current going through it.
