ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office has partnered with the Florida Department of Revenue to increase access to child support resources for local residents.
The partnership aims to assist families as they navigate child support procedures. Agency representatives will provide guidance on how to petition the court for child support and how parents can seek state assistance to enforce existing court orders.
Brandon J. Patty serves as the St. Johns County clerk of the circuit court and county comptroller. Patty emphasized the initiative to expand community outreach.
“One of my priorities is making it easier and more convenient for people to connect with the services we provide,” Patty said. “By working together with the Florida Department of Revenue, we’ll improve access and help connect families with important information and resources closer to home.”
Karen Lovekamp is a region manager for the Florida Department of Revenue. Lovekamp noted the common difficulties parents experience when searching for guidance.
“Families often have questions about child support and may not know where to begin or what resources are available to them,” Lovekamp said. “Our partnership with the Clerk’s Office gives us another way to connect families in St. Johns County with the services they may need.”

The first educational session through the partnership is scheduled for Sept. 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center. In-person attendance is limited to 20 participants and advance registration is required. To register, click here.
