JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It has only been open three months, but Action News has learned the newly renovated state attorney's office is already leaking.
The building has only been up and running since February, but Tuesday's heavy rains proved there's a problem. Action News uncovered the roof and some of the windows inside the brand new state attorney's office are leaking.
"That means they just rushed to do the job," said taxpayer Melanie Jennings.
Jennings knows this isn't the first time a new city building has had problems. She remembers having to duck under tarps that covered books at the main library.

When the new courthouse opened in 2012, it had a burst pipe. The arena had falling bricks and leaks. All of the buildings were less than 10 years old when problems started.
"It's a new building. It is not supposed to leak," said City Councilman Bill Bishop.
He's worried the fixes at the new state attorney's office will cost taxpayers.
"Part of the roof was not replaced when we did renovation. They thought the part was in good shape, so as a money saving, they didn't replace all the roof," said Bishop.
Bishop says they'll have to wait and see what the contractor finds. They did have crews inspecting the problem this week. Action News also reached out to the contractor, but have not heard back.
