Officials are assessing damage reports in evacuation zones throughout Northeast Florida after Hurricane Matthew.

Naval Station Mayport is expanding access to the base to include people who live on the base and and those who are required to assist in recovery operations.

Duval County
Officials are asking people to stay off the roads if possible so crews can work on clearing and repair. It is important to get people back to their home and everything is being done as fast as possible, officials said. JTA bus service remains suspended Saturday so first responders can assess roads to ensure they are safe and passable.
Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry lifted the evacuation order for the beaches at noon on Saturday.
All bridges in Duval County are open, officials said.
Residents should expect to have no power, downed trees and flooding, officials said. If residents don't have power Sunday are asked to call 904-247-6171.
JSO said there are some areas that are still flooded and barricades are up for flooding and downed trees.

St. Johns County
St. Johns County officials planned to open the Palm Valley Bridge providing access to the Ponte Vedra area at noon on Saturday.
The Usina Bridge to Vilano Beach and all bridges to Anastasia Island will open at 4 p.m., officials said. The bridges include the Bridge of Lions, the SR 312 Bridge and Matanzas Inlet Bridge. The Shands Bridge will remain closed until further notice.
The Florida Department of Transportation discovered previously unforeseen structural damage caused by Hurricane Matthew on the SR 206 Bridge to Anastasia Island. The bridge will remain closed pending any repairs necessary.
St. Johns County officials are encouraging residents living outside of the evacuation zones to return home, but to use caution of flooded area and debris in the roads. Crews are working to quickly clear the debris from the roads.
The City of St. Augustine, with exception to those neighborhoods located on Anastasia Island, will also open to the public at noon Saturday.
Officials said people who evacuated the island should remember that even after they return home, it is unlikely that water, sewer service or power will be on. It could be days before services are restored.
A full assessment of the integrity of utility infrastructure must be completed before they are restored, city officials said.
People should boil water for at least one minute for the first 48 hours after water is restored.
City officials are urging evacuees and people who sheltered in place to be careful of standing water hazards, debris obstructions and domestic or wild animals.
St. Johns County Opening Supply Points of Distribution at 1 p.m. Saturday. Each family will receive up to two cases of water (48 bottles) and a two-day food supply (six meals total) per person.

Clay County
Clay County officials said most of the county remains without power and that major roads are open, but access to individual neighborhoods is a case-by-case scenario.
Shands Bridge reports structural damage. The bridge will remained closed until further notice until they can determine the nature of damage.
Nassau County
Mandatory evacuations are lifted, according to officials. Decision about when bridges will open to the island will be made on Saturday, officials said.
Nassau County residents that don't live on Amelia Island or Fernandina Beach can return to their homes.
The Shave Bridge and the Nassau Sound Bridge to the island will open at 4 p.m. Saturday. Officials said there are several downed trees and power lines, and damage to more than 20 homes. Some residents may not be able to reach their homes.
The Florida Department of Transportation conducted a structural assessment of the Shave Bridge to and from the Island Saturday morning. The bridge was deemed safe by officials.
First responders will then conduct an assessment of damage on the Island, according to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
There is damage on Amelia Island, all things considered it was very light, according to the Billy Estep with Emergency Operations Center.
Crews were working to get safety issues resolved Saturday morning.
Some homes had light to moderate structural damage from trees.
A curfew is in place on Amelia Island from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., but it may be lifted at any time, officials said.

Putnam County
Debris pickup will begin Wednesday morning, according to officials. The debris must be on county right-of-way as contractors can't pick up from private property or private roads.
Anyone who has questions about the status of reported road closures are asked to call 386-329-1904.
Putnam County schools will be open Monday and all shelters are currently being closed, officials said.
