PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Local military veterans are working to combat their own potential unemployment.

Operation New Uniform is helping veterans transition into civilian life by teaching important skills for joining the workforce.

The latest class graduated Wednesday morning at TPC Sawgrass and celebrated the organization's first night class.

“[Operation New Uniform provides veterans with] interview training, networking training. We dive into how we are thinking about ourselves, and what value we bring as veterans,” Operation New Uniform vice president Jeff Robertson said.

“They’ve taught me how to set goals, and that humbleness about being yourself,” U.S. Army veteran Timothy Edwards said.

Operation New Uniform is a free program for eligible veterans.
