ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A golf cart shop owner is working to get his business running again after an overnight fire damaged the sales and repair shop in the 5900 block of US 1 North.
Crews kept the fire from consuming the entire building, and no one was hurt.
“The shop is completely gone. I’m completely devastated,” owner Bob Savage said.
Drivers watched flames billow from the business. Fire officials assessed the damage, with damaged golf carts and a mangled structure left behind and smoke still hanging in the air.
“I want everybody to know we haven’t shut it down,” Savage said.
Savage said he is not closing the business for good and is focused on reopening.
