JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people were arrested and a quantity of illegal drugs, weapons and cash was seized after law enforcement served a search warrant at a home in Jacksonville’s Panama Park neighborhood.
It happened Sept. 3 at a home in the 500 block East 61st Street.
The search warrant was executed by JSO’s narcotics unit and SWAT team following an investigation that began in July, Jacksonville police said. Detectives initiated the case after learning that dealers were selling methamphetamine and cocaine out of the residence, located one block from Panama Park.
During the search, officers seized 29.6 grams of fentanyl, which authorities noted contains nearly 15,000 potentially fatal doses. Law enforcement also confiscated 225.1 grams of powder cocaine, 184 grams of methamphetamine, 51.4 grams of crack cocaine and 621.8 grams of marijuana.
In addition to the illegal drugs, officers seized four handguns, two rifles and nearly $10,000 in cash from the property.
Police arrested 37-year-old Joe Holmes, who has a prior felony conviction, on 13 felony charges. Officers also arrested 26-year-old Chelsea Dillaberry on three felony charges in connection with the operation.
