A Palm Coast woman was killed Friday night after a crash on U.S. Highway 1 and Seminole Woods Boulevard in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said Katherine May Sanford, 85, was traveling south on U.S. 1 about 8:00 pm Friday when she made a left turn on to Seminole Woods Boulevard.
The turn took her in to the path of a Honda CRV driven by 51-year-old Leslie L. Williams, also of Palm Coast, according to FHP.
FHP said Williams' front bumper collided with the right rear passenger door of Sanford's vehicle, causing both cars to rotate and come to a final resting place in the intersection.
According to the FHP, Sanford was not wearing a seatbelt.
Sanford was transported to Halifax Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased, FHP said.
Williams was not injured in the accident, FHP said.
