JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The weekend-long Jax River City Pride celebration featured a parade Saturday of floats that winded their way through Riverside, Avondale and Five Points and ended at Riverside Park.
Jacksonville City Council member Jimmy Peluso served as grand marshal of the parade. The celebration included an after-party.
A festival with live entertainment and activities is set for Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Riverside Park.
Main stage performances include:
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: DJ Supa Dave
- 2 to 3:30 p.m.: Seventh Street Band
- 4 to 6 p.m.: Kristy Lee
- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Drag Revue, for ages 18 and older
The festival’s kid zone will include self-portrait activities, story time, a kids dance party, rainbow arts and crafts, games and prizes, a hair, paint and glitter runway show, a bubble party and a last dance activity.
