JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update 11/24: Community members gathered in Springfield to honor the expecting father who was shot and killed Thursday afternoon.
Original Story: A man died in a shooting in Springfield on Thursday afternoon, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Investigators said the suspect's vehicle is believed to be a white Dodge sedan with black rims.
Police responded to 8th and Hubbard streets and found a man dead.
JSO closed multiple roads in Springfield during the investigation.
It is not known at this time if the shooting is connected to another shooting that happened Wednesday night or if the shooting was gang-related.
