ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Investigators on Friday were still gathering evidence from an Arricola Avenue apartment.

Police say that's where 29-year-old Jeffrey Lee was shot and killed during a domestic dispute Thursday afternoon.

“It’s horrible, just horrible,” said Carol Fascione, who lives across the street.

She told Action News Jax she was watching TV when her husband heard a gunshot.

“Everybody was out here on the street. Crime tape started going up. Everything was blocked off so no one could pass by,” Fascione said.

According to police, 25-year-old Jessica Henries called her mother, Debra, and her sister, Jordan, telling them about a physical confrontation she had had with Lee, her boyfriend.

Investigators said when Debra and Jordan arrived, they had a confrontation with Lee, during which Jordan shot Lee with a handgun.

“Just to know that somebody so young was involved in such a horrible thing and to know that young man died right there across the street -- it’s pretty upsetting,” said Fascione.

According to the St. Augustine Police Department, all three women have been questioned and released.
