Police investigating dead person found in West Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman confirmed that police are investigating the discovery of a dead person in West Jacksonville.

Police cars and crime tape were seen in an area at Knollwood Drive and Blackthorn Road, in the Timuquana Road and Blanding Boulevard area.

Police arrived on scene Saturday about 1:30 p.m. and left about 6 p.m., but did not provide further information as of Saturday night.
