JSO: Police investigate robbery with injuries at Argyle Forest Super8 Motel

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery with injuries that occurred in the Argyle Forest area.

According to JSO, the incident took place at around 12:30 p.m. on Youngerman Circle East, inside one of the rooms of a Super8 Motel.

An estimated 3-4 suspects reportedly attacked a victim by striking him in the face several times before stealing his personal property and fleeing the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later released.

“The suspect struck the victim several times in the face and stole personal property from him,” a JSO spokesperson said. “He has some bruising on his face and lacerations.”

JSO has not released any descriptions of the suspects, but they did confirm that the victim and suspects had some form of contact before the incident.

Action News Jax attempted to speak with some of the hotel’s guests, but many were from out of town and said they had no idea what took place.

The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500 or go online to ISOCRIMETIPS@JAXSHERIFF.ORG. People can also report tips anonymously by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 866-845-TIPS.

The investigation is ongoing, and JSO is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything or has any information to come forward. The safety of the community is a top priority, and the police department is working diligently to bring the suspects to justice.
