JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men involved in a dispute at a restaurant in St. Johns County ended with a man in his 20s shot at his Baymeadows home, police said Sunday.
A suspect is in custody, and the victim is suffering fron non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the hip.
Police said the shooting occurred in the 4700 block of Cumberland Cove Court about 3:17 a.m. Sunday after the suspected shooter followed the victim back to his home.
Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot. He was transported to a local area hospital.
Police said after the suspected assailant followed the victim back to his residence, the suspect exited his vehicle as the victim was standing in the front yard of his residence.
The suspect fired several times striking the victim in the hip, said police, who said the suspect then fled the area in his vehicle.
The suspect was located by police and is in police custody. At this time, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident.
