Missing Putnam County teen found safe

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: Deputies say they found Jedediah Santmyer at 1:15 p.m. Friday and he is safe.

“He appears unharmed. Thank you to everyone who helped,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager considered endangered.

Deputies are currently in the area of Rainbow Road in Crescent City looking for Jedediah Santmyer, 15.

The sheriff’s office said the teen may have ran away from his home Friday morning.

Santmyer’s family told deputies he has developmental delays with the mentality of a 10-year-old.

“He is about 5′10″, black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing blue pajamas and no shoes,” PCSO said.
