PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested an 11-year-old girl who wrote a threat of a school shooting at her school.

Deputies said the child wrote the threat on a bathroom wall at C.H. Price Middle School, but said it doesn’t appear there was any plan to act on the threat.

The girl told deputies that she wrote the initials of another student on the wall because she was mad at that student.

The child, who is not being named by authorities, was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Daytona Beach.
