Power restored after outage in Jacksonville area on coldest morning of week

7:30 a.m. UPDATE: Power is restored, according to JEA.

Approximately 1,711 JEA customers in the Jacksonville area are without power.

This comes on the coldest morning of the week, with temperatures as low as 33 degrees.

The issue was reported at 6:16 a.m. Wednesday.

Power is expected to be restored at 8:31 a.m., according to JEA.

A Freeze Warning is in place until 8 a.m. along and west of I-95.

There are also reports of power outages in Putnam County with at least 60 people affected.

Action News Jax has a crew headed to the scene and is working to learn the cause of the issue.
