JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This week, the top restaurant violators on the health inspectors list were all cited for completely different reasons.
Health inspectors cited Masala Indian Cuisine for 28 violations including food too hot to serve, displayed food not protected from contamination and an employee not washing their hands before putting on gloves to work with food.
The manager said they’ve stepped up their calls for service.
“Right now, we try to call like, you know, monthly service to check the proper temperature,” said the manager.
Inspectors had to temporarily close the Ice Cream Station in San Mateo. They found no running water, live roaches and improperly installed plumbing.
Zoe’s Kitchen at St. Johns Town Center on the Southside had multiple violations including a blackish-green mold-like substance in the ice machine, a stop-sale issued on the fruit salad and equipment or utensils not properly sanitized.
