Reward to find missing Jacksonville woman who disappeared in North Carolina is now $10K

The reward to find a missing Jacksonville woman is now up to $10,000.

Abby Patterson disappeared two months ago while visiting family in Lumberton, North Carolina.

A chicken-processing plant has doubled the reward being offered for information leading to Patterson's whereabouts, the Robesonian newspaper reports.

Sandy Bryan, Patterson's sister, told the Robesonian that Mountaire Farms has added $5,000 to the reward being offered for information on information on where Abby Patterson is. The money is in addition to $5,000 previously offered by family and friends, according to the newspaper.

Three other women have been found dead in the town over the past year.

Police do not think Patterson's disappearance is related to those deaths.

Anyone with information on Patterson's whereabouts is asked to call the Lumberton Police Department at (910) 671-3845.
