Workers who were inside a Jacksonville business when part of its roof was ripped off said it sounded like a freight train or a bomb going off.
There were 15 people inside Reliance Supply on Edgewood Blvd. when part of its metal roof was ripped off by wind on Monday.
Mangled metal roofing was wrapped around power lines. Officials said debris struck nearby buildings.
Businessowner Rob Carryl said the damage at Reliance Supply could have been worse.
Water started to come in where the roof came off but Carryl said there weren't products in that area of the business.
"We went and looked at our products and thought we'd have water in there but everything was dry so we're thankful for that," Rob Carryl said.
Crews were working to repair the roof Monday night.
No injuries were reported.
