JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An RV and a motorcycle were stolen from a local U-Haul and an apartment complex. Police say a man hot-wired both of them.

Joshanon Perdew, 32, is accused of hot-wiring the RV and motorcycle to steal them.

A police report says surveillance cameras at the U-Haul facility on 103rd Street captured the theft of the RV, which was parked at the business.

Police say Perdew cut a hole in the fence to get in and damaged the gate, making it easy to get out.

Two days later, a man living at an apartment complex in the Sandalwood area found his red 2006 Suzuki missing.

It would be Perdew himself who would led police straight to him.

Police say Perdew stole a tag from a truck at a construction company and replaced it with another tag.

That tag led police straight to the RV and bike both sitting in a driveway.

Police say the ignition wires were cut and the motorcycle was hot-wired.

When they approached Perdew, he allegedly said, “I didn't steal the bike."

The report says Perdew's wife was also in the RV. The couple was arrested on suspicion of auto theft-related charges.
