The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida launched its April Match Campaign today, offering a dollar-for-dollar match on all donations up to $25,000. The fundraising effort runs through April 30 to support local families and individuals in need.

The matching funds are provided through the generosity of Dr. Richard Lipsey and Mrs. Cecilia Bryant. Every contribution made during the month will go directly toward supporting people in Northeast Florida facing homelessness, food insecurity and financial hardship.

Maj. Keath Biggers serves as the Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida. He explained that the funds will support families struggling to make ends meet and individuals working to rebuild their lives.

“This campaign is a meaningful opportunity for our community to come together and multiply their impact,” Biggers said. “The donations we receive during the April Match Campaign will help those who need it most—families struggling to make ends meet, individuals experiencing homelessness and people working hard to rebuild their lives. Every dollar truly makes a difference and this match allows us to extend hope even further.”

The Salvation Army has a long history in the region, having served the Jacksonville area since 1891. Beyond crisis assistance, the organization operates specific programs addressing substance abuse and domestic violence. The organization also maintains a rapid emergency disaster response team. It is recognized internationally for its services to those in need and the conscientious use of all donations.

Community members can participate by making a donation in any amount. Contributions are accepted throughout the month through the organization’s dedicated campaign website, HERE.

The April Match Campaign will remain active through April 30. Donations made after this date will not be eligible for the dollar-for-dollar match provided by the donors.
