Several women have come forward after seeing a report about a man accused of staring at a woman in her bedroom in Atlantic Beach.
Action News Jax first reported on Tuesday that a woman woke up to find a man inside her bedroom staring at her.
The police report says the suspect told the woman she was so beautiful, he just wanted to see her. It also says he exposed himself to her when she chased him away.
Two women tell Action News Jax they believe this same man approached them.
One woman says a man broke into her home and took his shirt off. Another another woman says she was approached by a man who grabbed himself in front of her.
Other women on Facebook say a very similar thing has happened to them.
One woman tells Action News Jax she was walking along Atlantic Beach with a friend on Sunday morning when a man came up to her and told them how beautiful they were. She says he then started grabbing himself and told them what he wanted to do to them sexually.
Another woman says a man had no shirt on when he entered her home on 8th Street about 30 miles away. She said she was able to get away.
Action News Jax Crime and Safety Expert Ken Jefferson says women’s safety is at risk while the suspect is out there.
“If you find yourself in an incident like this one, if you are in an apartment complex, bring attention to the situation, you want to make as much noise as you possibly can, and try and scare off the offender,” Jefferson said.
