JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With an escort by Jaxson de Ville and a room full of family and friends, Jessie Green stepped in to the surprise of all surprises at EverBank Field.
It started with a presentation by Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns. On behalf of the team, he gave Green tickets to the Big Cats' home opener against the Green Bay Packers.
“It’s just kind of the icing on the cake to let her know that this same place she continued to support wants to show her some love back,” former Jaguars safety Donovin Darius said.
Green also got gift cards to JCPenney, Indochine and a certificate for a mani/pedi. Not only did her only son Jerry Brown get killed earlier this year in a drive-by shooting, but she's going through treatments for breast cancer.

That’s why her niece Chevie Green rallied the community together and planned this day.
“I just want to see the look on her face and feel the joy in her heart because she deserves it,” she explained.
Outside was the biggest gift of them all. A Hyundai Sonata, donated free of charge by a friend.
“Happy. I'm overwhelmed. Just words can't explain how I feel,” Green said with a smile.
It's been a long road without her son Jerry. The music minister loved God, was best friends with his mom and was full of life.
As the family seeks justice, Green will continue carrying him in her heart. For the moment, she's going to enjoy her gifts. When asked the first thing she's going to do, with a smile she told us:
“Drive my car.”
Green’s home in Springfield also received a makeover as part of the pampering.
Jerry Brown's killer still has not been caught. The family has set up a page in his honor called justice4myjerry.com.
