ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The St. Augustine Alligator Farm opened its new exhibit featuring two sloths named Teddy and Grizzly Friday morning.
The male and female sloths, which are part of a subspecies called Hoffman's Two-Toed Sloths, were released into their rainforest habitat that mimics their native range in Central and South America.
Sloths are named for their incredibly slow movement and slow metabolism. They're content to hang motionless from tree branches, sleeping 15 to 20 hours a day.
