ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A St Augustine High School teacher is under investigation, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Action News Jax has little details of the case, but the St. Johns County School District said the teacher has been suspended with pay.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said it got a complaint two days ago about a female teacher who allegedly has a relationship with a male student.
Officials confirmed late Thursday night for Action News Jax that the teacher is Virginia Hinckley.

"You think of this as a place of trust where your children are going to be safe so when something happens inappropriate between a teacher and a child, it's just wrong," said parent Alan Bushell.
A district spokesperson could not talk about any specifics of the investigation, but said they are working closely with sheriff's office
Hinckley remains suspended with pay from the district pending the outcome of the investigation.
