ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A former St. Johns County Fire Rescue dispatcher is facing DUI and manslaughter charges in connection with a fatal car crash in August 2025.
Lindsey Elizabeth Rollins, 37, was arrested Sept. 29, more than a year after the crash at the intersection of Old Moultrie and Lewis Point roads in St. Augustine where FHP troopers said she was driving over 80 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Rollins’ pickup truck entered the intersection and struck the driver’s side of the SUV driven by a 52-year-old woman. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rollins was previously arrested in St. Johns County in April 2023 following an alleged road rage incident. In that case, law enforcement charged her with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and misdemeanor reckless driving.
According to an arrest affidavit from the 2023 arrest, law enforcement reported that Rollins knowingly operated a motor vehicle to force another car off the roadway along State Road 312.
Investigators stated she intentionally struck the victim’s vehicle twice, including once on the State Road 312 bridge. Rollins denied striking the vehicle during an interview with officers, but investigators documented matching damage on both vehicles, the affidavit states.
