Action News Jax confronted a St. Johns County man accused of threatening underage girls to get nude pictures.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said that man is facing cyberstalking and extortion charges.

Deputies believe Kameron McGauley, 18, has several, juvenile victims.

“Are they true?” Action News Jax Reporter Russell Colburn asked.

Monday, Action News Jax asked him about the charges outside his work.

“I’m not talking,” McGauley said.

McGauley walked away from our camera and wouldn’t answer any other questions.

In the arrest report, deputies said McGauley sent a juvenile female victim photos of herself topless, threatening to put them on various social media sites if she didn’t show herself naked on Snapchat video.

The report states she did, against her will, fearing her reputation would be ruined.

The Sheriff’s Office said McGauley threatened to release videos to her parents if she didn’t send more.

Deputies believe he’s used this tactic on multiple occasions to extort and harass other females.

Action News Jax found one of the alleged accounts mentioned in the report.

It has the name Josh and emojis and appears to still be active.

“Just infuriated, I would just be totally infuriated,” said parent Cheryl Scheuring.  “I would want to be protecting my child any way I could.”

St. Johns County deputies said McGauley confessed to not revealing who he was to the victim, hiding behind several Snapchat usernames and using threats to get nude photos and videos.

Deputies said other cases likely occurred when the suspect was a juvenile, so they'll be turning those over to the State Attorney's Office.

Action News Jax reached out to Snapchat for comment on the case and that account that appears to still be active, and hasn’t heard back.
