St. Johns County neighbors are on the lookout for a roaming bobcat.

A neighbor in the Aberdeen community spotted one behind her home and took video. In the video, the bobcat can be seen walking along near a wooded area. It looks back once but continues on.

“As long as you leave them alone, you’re fine,” said Millie Cadiz, a neighbor.

Cadiz said she has seen bobcats before in her backyard. “They just walk around, they haven’t done any harm here,” she said.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said while bobcats hunt at night, you can see them during the day because they sleep only two to three hours at a time.  The FWC also said bobcats in Florida primarily eat squirrels, rabbits and rats.
