The State of Florida has filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty against Joe Turner, 27, the suspect in the death of 25-year-old Jordan Cooper.

Turner lived on the same street as Cooper.

While investigating Turner's home, investigators found a bag of womens clothing.

The clothing ended up being Cooper's, authorities said.

Detective believe that Turner killed Cooper in her house and that he acted alone.

Investigators said that they positively matched Turners identity based on a Band-Aid that was found at Coopers house.

Coopers body was found December 9, 2017 in a concealed location in her home, two weeks after she was reported missing.
