Suspicious package found at JSO headquarters not a threat

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 9:36 A.M. UPDATE: Police said the suspicious package was not deemed to be anything of concern.

The headquarters of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in downtown is currently roped off due to a suspicious package.

Police have closed several roads including, Marsh Street East, Bay Street, Forsyth Street, and Liberty Street. Officers are taking precautionary measures.

Action News Jax is at the scene working to learn more information and if police are looking for any suspects.
