Jacksonville, Fl — This week’s warming trend peaks today with temperatures near 80 degrees, about 15 degrees above average. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says it’ll be mostly sunny with winds out of the southwest.
A band of rain will push in overnight ahead of a cold front. Jacksonville will see rain between 1 AM and 7 AM Friday. Winds will pick up out of the northwest tomorrow behind the front.

Saturday’s high will only be in the mid-50s, about 10 degrees below average, and breezy. Tailgating ahead of the Jaguars game will be brisk and cool. Temperatures fall through the 40s and into the 30s by kickoff with calming winds.
Temperatures on Friday will fall into the 50s by late in the afternoon and continue falling from there. Saturday morning starts cold with temperatures in the 30s.
Widespread frost and an inland freeze arrives Sunday morning. Temperatures will only climb to the upper 50s before falling into the upper 30s early Monday.
MLK Day is looking sunny and nice with temperatures in the upper 60s. Another warming trend arrives Tuesday and continues mid-week.
