BRANTELY COUNTY, Ga. — Neighbors are coming together to support a Georgia teen who was hit by a train.
A Georgia State Patrol report said Jacee Thomas was driving across the tracks near her home on Prescott Road on May 24 when her car was hit by a CSX train.
The 17-year-old was flown to UF Health Jacksonville where she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
The report said she failed to yield, entered the path of the train and was struck on the driver's side.
